LUNG TA - Special Prayer Papers
Lung Ta - 'Lung' means 'wind' and 'Lung Ta' means
Windhorse. These colorful papers with prayers on them
are used to spread prayers throughout the four
corners of the earth by going to a high place and,
after a ritual or prayers, tossing them into the air,
letting the winds carry them high into the sky. When
the paper finally comes back to the earth, the prayer
papers dissolve into the earth and blesses the earth.
The lung ta papers measure 2.5" X 2.5" and come in
packs of approximately 500 sheets.
Item #RI-LUNG. Picture.
The most astonishing scene of this I ever saw was in
that famous film 'Wind Horse'. The Director told me
that when they were at a the top famous pass in the
Himalayan Mountains poised for the lung ta scene, the
winds suddenly picked up with great bursts giving the
sense that they were sent from the gods themselves,
and they were able to film the most amazing footage
of lung ta being tossed into the wind, swirling high
into the air.

Singing Bowl Set with Book
These singing bowls are around 75 years old and very
special. The singing bowls are used to develop focus
and attention in our practice and in our daily lives.
Don't be fooled by replicas - our antique singing
bowls are hand made, hand-selected and are made only
by Tibetan artisans through special ancient
techniques handed down from generation to generation.
The bowls are made of 7 metals, one for each planet:
Gold for the sun, silver for the moon, mercury for
Mercury, Iron for Mars, Tin for Jupiter and Lead for
Saturn. The harmonies of all the metals produce
subtle distinctions creating a sensation of great
space and profound peace. Each bowl comes with its
own pillow made of woven Tibetan cloth to rest it on
when not in use, though it needs to be held to be
played. The kit also includes the wooden wand to make
the bowl sing, and a book of instruction about this
ancient technique for developing attentiveness. We
test all the bowls for sound. It is hard to get bowls
that are the same exact size, because they are
handmade for SOUND, not for size, so sometimes a
smaller bowl may be sent to you, but rest assured
that the sound is fabulous. 4" diameter for the
small, 6" for the large, and 12" diameter for the
Huge.

Bell and Dorje set
(Dilbu) Bell and Dorje are handmade by Tibetans and
used for special rituals. This Bell is used to call
the presence of Buddha and the Deities and is balanced
to 'sing' harmonically at specific tones. It can also
be made to sing by slowly rubbing its rim with a
wooden stick. The Dorje(lightning or thunderbolt)
embodies the concepts of enlightenment and the
indestructible nature of Truth. Both Bell and Dorje
are used together for many rituals. Traditionally the
dorje is held in the right hand, and symbolizes
masculine yang power and the clear essence of reality
that is the basis of everything. The feminine yin bell
is held in the left hand as a representation of
profound wisdom. When unified in a ceremony of ritual
prayer, they form a symbol of incorruptible purity
that no force can destroy...the victory of wisdom over
ignorance. For Ritual use. You can also make the
bell 'sing' by rubbing a wooden stick around the outer
edge of the bell to create a marvelously rich sound as
with the singing bowls.
