Pair of Coromandel Gold Leaf Floral Paintings

Coromandel is a way of preparing a wood panel through carving background areas inversely to create the design, and painting and/or gold-leafing the whole artwork. It is intricate and very time-consuming, and the result is gorgeous. Because each is handmade from the carving to the painting and leafing, this quality will become harder and harder to find. The flowers and butterflies represent peace, harmony and love. Each panel measures 24" x 16".
