Three Immortal Household Gods (Ceramic)The three most important Household Gods of China, also known as "The Three Immortals," are Fuk, Luk and Sau. Though they are seldom worshipped, their very presence is thought to bring very good luck indeed, and as a result they are found in practically every Chinese home. Fuk is the God of Wealth and happiness, who is pictured in the middle. Luk is the God of high ranking and affluence, pictured on the right holding a ru-ly, meaning that 10,000 good things will come to you with ease, and Sau is the God of health and longevity, pictured on the left holding a walking stick which represents longevity. Fuk should be placed in the center, between the other two, like in the picture. I have seen them placed in a good position usually in the living room or the dining room. Black Terra Cotta HorseIn Feng Shui, the sturdy and noble Horse, when displayed, represents stamina and strength in life as well as in business - and of course the intention of 'winning the race'. Over 2,200 years ago China's first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, in search of immortality and eternal power, ordered the construction of a vast underground army of life-size terra cotta warriors and their steeds. Formal excavation began in the city of Xi-An in China in 1974; as you can imagine, the site is now very famous, with people coming from all over the world to see this amazing excavation. Our horse is a small replica of the horses that accompanied the 8,000+ warriors in this most remarkable effort to acquire everlasting life and power. Made of terra cotta with a black wash. 10" x 11".
