Brass Gong with Mallet - DISCONTINUEDThis solid brass gong has a surprisingly deep and resonate voice, I think because it's shape, which is shaped like a lid, in other words, the metal is carefully worked, having a 2" edge at right angles to the flat surface, the part that you strike. This may account for the deep voice. It is hand held using the leather thong, though I'm sure you could figure a way to hang it up from the handle. It measures 10" in diameter, and was created for meditation, though of course it can be used in creating music, or calling people together or the like. Comes with a good strong mallet.
