Feng Shui Emporium: Bells and Luck Charms: Tingsha Bells

Tingsha Bells have been used for centuries for many purposes - meditation, bring the mind to the present, and so forth. The ones we carry are made by a special formula of metals, and the recipe is handed down from generation to generation.

Tingsha Dragon Bell
Comes in only one style at this time, with a dragon etched on the bell. The one pictured is the plain one which is no longer offered. Start your meeting with our Chime, mounted on a wooden stand, with a holder for its striker. Made by Tibetans in the ancient, time-honored way handed down within the families, the bell is 2.5" in diameter and has a clear bright tone. Overall measures 3" long x 5" high. Item #BE-TMC.

Bell and Dorje set
(Dilbu) Bell and Dorje are handmade by Tibetans and used for special rituals. This Bell is used to call the presence of Buddha and the Deities and is balanced to 'sing' harmonically at specific tones. It can also be made to sing by slowly rubbing its rim with a wooden stick. The Dorje(lightning or thunderbolt) embodies the concepts of enlightenment and the indestructible nature of Truth. Both Bell and Dorje are used together for many rituals. Traditionally the dorje is held in the right hand, and symbolizes masculine yang power and the clear essence of reality that is the basis of everything. The feminine yin bell is held in the left hand as a representation of profound wisdom. When unified in a ceremony of ritual prayer, they form a symbol of incorruptible purity that no force can destroy...the victory of wisdom over ignorance. For Ritual use. You can also make the bell 'sing' by rubbing a wooden stick around the outer edge of the bell to create a marvelously rich sound as with the singing bowls. Item #RI-TBD1.
